People are calling, asking if there is a retrograde. No. What is happening? Friends are disagreeing with each other, thereby ending relationships. Society is changing and people are joining groups to oppose what they don’t like. Others feel they have free reign to do whatever they please, without consideration for anybody else, trampling on others’ rights and causing anger and retaliation. So what is in the air?

The United States article explaining the first week of March 2009, told that there is deep, necessary and uncomfortable change. The influence is still in the air, quietly repeating between the end of September through the end of the year. In my life, young people are demanding their own ways, dismissing those with experience, and wanting to throw over everything, meaning starting over. The situation is that other young people also want their own ways, which are opposite the others. There are fierce arguments and oppositions, without civility. Those who are older are saddened by the behavior and have been forced out, thereby taking experience with them.

June 15 Jupiter stopped in his tracks and appeared to go backwards, exactly on the Moon of the United States, setting off exaggerated emotions and large demonstrations.

In the mundane world, or how the planets are interacting with each other, the degree of 26 is prominent. This touches on the United States Moon in Aquarius, the sign of change, freedom and revolution. May 29 this year, Neptune stopped in her tracks and appeared to go backwards, setting off the emotions of the population. She was in that degree through the first week of June. Emotions were high, but unrealistic. July 1 Uranus stopped and appeared to go backwards in the 26 degree of Pisces, not visibly touching the Moon or emotions, but created an opportunity for change and freedom from controlled structures, whether a company, parents or friends, seeming to result in strange behavior.

The full Moon eclipse on July 7 reflected a tug of war between emotions and family, and home and work, with work winning. The new Moon eclipse of July 21 triggered emotional opposition to control issues. It was certainly noticeable here!

Now to the next few months: what can you expect?

AUGUST

Mercury goes into its own sign of Virgo on August 2 through August 25. Communication is more specific and detailed. Your friends could be more reticent, fussy or critical.

There is another full Moon eclipse August 5 in the sign of Aquarius. This is in weird tension with the United States’ Sun, so expect adjustments to new technology, or more likely adjustments to demanding demonstrators. If they are respectful, within their demands are opportunities to make smooth changes. If the ones making demands are disrespectful, their demands will be dismissed, angering them even more. The Supreme Court nominee could be approved. Physically, the parts of the body are the heart and upper back and calves and high blood pressure.

August 10 expect tension that smoothes over until August 13, when the quarter Moon in the signs of Leo and Taurus touches off financial control issues.

August 17 is a good day to be on vacation, or do something creative. An appointment may not show up, so be prepared.

August 8 is tense with unexpected change, asking you to be flexible.

August 19 is a repeat of December 11, 2008 through January 21, 2009 and deals with automotive and manufacturing setbacks in the United States. Personally for you, there is a need to be flexible and adjust to interruptions.

August 20 is the new Moon in the sign of Leo, and could highlight romance or entertaining. Men should be strong and attentive, but could expect to be obeyed. Aquarians may not like being told what to do, and Scorpio and Taurus resist commands. Aries and Sagittarius enjoy the drama and entertaining, as do Libra and Gemini. Capricorn and Pisces adjust, Cancer and Virgo are neutral.

August 22 the Sun goes into the sign of Virgo through September 22. Energy goes to practical and work tasks, gardening and detail.

August 23 is a good day to present your plans to the highest authority and you will be well received. Good dealings with men and power.

August 27 has the potential for arguments, so present your case and let it go for a day or two.

August 24 is harmonious, and good to heal relationships.

August 26 is fraught with power plays, dictatorial attitudes and coercion. Take the utmost care to be as diplomatic as possible. It that does not work either put off communication for a day or two or ask someone to mediate.

August 25 Mars goes into the sign of Cancer through October 16. Projects turn to house and home, cooking and family. Mars is said to be weak in this sign, but I have found him to be more relaxed and gentle and more interested in home projects. Mars is associated with men, so expect your man to be this way until October.

August 25 Mercury goes into the diplomatic sign of Libra through October 28. Now communication becomes more diplomatic, but does not come to the point. Your Libra friends, though, are more outspoken and decisive than usual.

August 26 Venus goes into the sign of dramatic Leo through September 20. Your women friends and woman partner are more dramatic, colorful and demanding than usual. Leo is a sensual sign, so expect your woman to be more romantic, too.

August 27 is the quarter Moon in the signs of Virgo and Sagittarius. This is irritation after irritation. Someone is demanding details of the one who does not have them. This is smooth by August 30.

In the United States chart August 27 is disappointing, with something that was expected to be stable or safe becoming unstable. This situation had a prelude on August 11 when it may have been realized the financial part of the deal was unrealistic and here on August 27 the deal has to be scaled down.

SEPTEMBER

September 1 is a weird day with unstable emotions and communications. Lots of interruptions, too.

September 2 is a repeat of August 27 with the potential for arguments.

September 4 is the full Moon in the signs of Pisces and Virgo. The pull is between reality and dreams. Someone is expecting and asking the dreamer for details, and the dreamer is offering the whole picture. The practical one cannot see the whole picture, only the details. Ask someone to help with communication. Physically the full Moon focuses on the eyes and feet and the digestive system.

September 7 Mercury goes retrograde through September 29. Mercury rules communications such as the phone, internet, newspapers, is associated with your siblings and written papers, especially legal papers. When he goes retrograde it is not a good time to sign papers or make agreements. The legal part of marriage is ruled by Mercury, so when he is retrograde it is possible the legal paperwork is not right. He rules electricity and electronic gadgets such as your computer, printer, IPod and cell phone, so when he goes retrograde these gadgets can malfunction and be quite irritating. If you must sign legal papers as part of your job, make sure you re-check them after Mercury goes direct. If your car, printer or copier glitches, check the electronics first, it is most likely something simple but electrical. It is not wise to purchase anything electrical during this time because something hidden is wrong and will surface when Mercury goes retrograde the next time. This is not always difficult. Check to some of the previous Mercury retrograde times to see what good happened, knowing this will repeat, too. For instance, when I was in the working world, I would always get a secretarial job under Mercury retrograde. So when I needed to go to work, I would apply for a job under Mercury retrograde. If you are a Gemini or Virgo, expect troublesome communication misunderstandings and travel glitches.

September 11 is a difficult day. The quarter Moon is in the signs of Virgo and Gemini, meaning irritating communications and possible disagreements. Other planetary configurations reveal a day full of interruptions, and you need to be flexible. You certainly don’t get done what you expected. A younger woman whines. Pluto stops and goes direct at zero degrees Capricorn, and will be in that sign through January 2024. Expect the continued restructuring of businesses and other seemingly stable structures, including buildings. Both Pluto and Capricorn want their own way, so it will be an interesting transit.

However, September 11 in the United States chart shows an opportunity for financial stability - if - the government will take care to reduce expenses.

September 12 through 15 can be difficult if you want to hold on to the old. There is tension between duty and wanting to be creative. In business, there could the need to accommodate both the practical and the ideal. There are relationship difficulties between the established and the new, or the old and the young.

September 17 through the 20 is basically smooth although expect the unexpected on September 17.

September 20 Venus goes into Virgo through October 14. Now she is fussy and wants to clean instead of be romantic. It is a good time to purchase beautiful practical items, which will probably be on sale.

September 21 in the United States chart is a repeat of February 19. News is weird and incomplete, a lot is left out. News reporters may seem to be unsure of themselves. This influence is through the end of 2009.

September 22 is the fall equinox, exact at 21:20 GMT or 17:18 Washington, DC time. The Sun is Libra through October 23. This is the month for beauty, entertaining and diplomacy. Libra’s are strong now and may surprise you. Aries could be angry because their partner wants to be included, and Cancer and Capricorn enjoy the challenges. Gemini and Aquarius enjoy social settings, as does Leo. Virgo and Scorpio are neutral, Pisces dreamily adjusts but Taurus is not happy with the expenses.

September 23 can be difficult in diplomatic or international circles. The power broker may not want to cooperate with the peacemaker and there is either a standoff or threats. Personally, do not let yourself be bullied, but don’t be the bully yourself. Cooperation is the key today.

September 28 in the United States chart shows a good change and good news; a repeat of April 10.

September 29 Mercury goes direct, yay!!!

OCTOBER

October 4 is the full Moon in the signs of Libra and Aries. Personal relationships could be difficult if either does not allow the other to either be alone, or to join them. Physically, the foci are the adrenals, bladder and head. Today should be full of action and impulsiveness. It is also a weird day where nothing goes right one way, but if you will do something new and different, or be with friends, it will be good.

October 8 in the United States chart shows a relatively harmonious reorganization of corporations with attention to the details.

October 10 should be wonderful, with an expansion of your projects, news from overseas, or an outing with friends. However, there is a communication repeat of September 17 with the potential for being stubborn.

October 11 is the quarter Moon in the signs of Libra and Cancer. Lots of impulsive activity that may not produce anything. These signs are not supposed to get along, but they do. There could be a surprise party in the home and it will be fun.

October 13 Jupiter stops and goes forward in the sign of Aquarius. The other planets indicate a great day; harmony is in the air, gifts and good relationships with older people.

October 16 Mars goes into the sign of Leo through the first week of June 2010. Mars is strong in this sign, energizing men, drama, entertaining and romance. Be careful of spending too much money, as Leo is the most lavish of signs. Men are emboldened and forceful. Dealings with children should be good if they are not forced or pushed too far. Please be gentle with your water sign children: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Projects tend to be colorful and expensive.

October 18 is the new Moon in Leo, with the sun and Moon joining Mars for a colorful day. This is good to begin a new project with or about children, the theater or romance.

October 23 the Sun goes into Scorpio through November 22. Attention turns to finances, investments, the financial part of partnerships and intimacy. Scorpio is intense and persistent, so expect your Scorpio friends to be just that. The other planets say this is a good day, with emotions and intellect in harmony and you get along with everybody.

October 25 is the quarter Moon in the signs of Aquarius and Scorpio. Tense day with financial control issues.

October 28 Mercury goes into the sign of Scorpio through November 15. Conversation becomes a little more reticent and the talk is of money and investments.

October 29 has the potential for arguments, especially between or with men and control issues over money. Could be a dangerous day with accidents because of anger. Don’t allow yourself to be drawn into others’ issues, let it go.

October 29 Saturn goes into the sign of Libra through October 5, 2012. Saturn is exalted in Libra, meaning it operates best in this sign and for this period. There could be changes in the law resulting in fairness and balance. There could be a return to some kind of stable marriage arrangements. There should be responsibility in committed and business relationships, and perhaps new laws promulgated for such. It seems social responsibility will be an ideal.
