It is obvious the whole world is going through the changes or cataclysms predicted by many sources. We have witnessed the earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia, floods in Europe, fires in California in the United States, along with hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the mightiest of the hurricanes in the United States in the past two years. There are clashes between religions, and Africa is going through her changes, too.

Other earth changes are political, like the beginnings of democracy in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq and Palestine. Some are or will be economic, which will progress as the world copes and adapts.

Each nation, city and person experiences these changes differently, and each nation, city and individual has a unique horoscope to reveal what the changes can be. Today we are talking about the changes of the United States. If you would like to have your country or city interpreted, please send me an e-mail with the birthday or date of incorporation.

The world is going through the breakdown and reorganization of traditional religions, which happens when we go from one age to another, as we are now. Transiting Pluto is in the sign of religions and is opposing American goals and way of life, as evidenced by the terrorist attacks and the attacks from within the country on the founding religion of Christianity. Some American groups are against the founding principles and are trying to break them down. This same configuration reveals the opposition to the war in Iraq, but also the change and freedom brought about because of the intervention. Cooperation is the key to successful reorganization or the fight continues and intensifies. This opposition is in effect between the middle of January of 2004 and end of October of 2005. After the end of this month some of the vociferousness should begin to abate.

Venus is the planet of love, agreements, marriage, money and possessions. At this time she is opposing the established way of things, striking out on her own to create a new way of love and marriage. Financially, it is a time of stress and conflict over reckless spending and balancing the budget. Women are the driving force of this change in marriage, and are the ones who are succeeding in being financially independent. However, excess of debt will be difficult to pay off, both individually and nationally. We are seeing the airlines having financial difficulty, reducing the number of flights, raising prices and asking to reduce pension fund pay-outs. The price of electricity and oil is rising dramatically, reducing our disposable income. This means less money for frills, just what Saturn is trying to teach us. This is in effect from about beginning of April of 2004 through the end of October of 2007.

Mercury is the planet of communication, education and young people. He is stirring up the emotions of the people of the United States with radical ideas that can be said to be revolutionary, but not very sensible. The media is making radical statements not always backed up by fact, but exciting many. He is stimulating ideas of freedom and individuality almost to the point of eccentricity, although many new ideas and inventions could be brought forward for the good of all. The internet should be going through an evolution of more speed and faster connections. All forms of communications are faster because of American innovations. Education will be changed to bring technology and new ways of teaching that is faster and more interesting to young people. This is in effect between the end of March of 2004, exact on 11 February 2005 through the end of 2005.

Venus reveals that the population is moving again, which should bring newness to communities that will bring improvement and some prosperity. This effect of Venus indicates the changes in marriage and partnerships will work out harmoniously. This is in effect between about the middle of July of 2005, exact on 21 July 2005 through the middle of June of 2006.

The most noticeable change is evidenced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita, forcing large numbers of people into new places to live. This is the Uranus square the United States is experiencing. Uranus forces change, breaking down outworn traditions and ways of life that are not working. Squares indicate crises. This is not over; the first focus date was 5 April 2005 and hits again 27 January 2006. The situation demands drastic changes in the way everything is handled, requiring innovative ways of coping. Uranus represents the unexpected, the drastic and involves large groups of people. Many people are being relocated to different areas of the country, changing their lives and the lives of the communities they will eventually join, after several moves. Large groups went to the disaster areas to help, including federal and state government employees, private sector employees and people who took vacation to help in any way they could. Private airplanes, boats and buses came to rescue. The medical community was innovative in creating the triage unit right on the airport runways, with so many helicopters landing that the sky could not be easily seen from the ground. People from around the world are still sending financial aid and goods to the areas. Other countries offered and sent aid in all forms, from money to airplanes. Unusual solutions were apparent in the cruise ships offered for shelter, even though they are not filled. Unusual ways of sending money are happening - states and cities are returning federal money awarded to them for hurricane relief. Uranus represents friends, too, and through these disasters we see that we have many friends, indeed.

Our way of life is changing: religion, marriage, migration, all of which should result in freedom of expression with friendship, harmony and tolerance for each other, if we will embrace change and accept the responsibility that comes with it.
